Someone stole my wheelie bin

Of all the things to happen around Christmas, this has got to be one of the more bizarre.

I put my rubbish and recycling bins out on the verge on Thursday night. My bins get emptied on Friday morning. I went to bring the bins in on Friday evening and my recycling bin is missing. Someone stole my recycling bin.

Who the hell steals a recycling bin?

If your part of Australia is anything like our council, if you lose or break a wheelie bin you have to pay to get a new one. So it is much cheaper to steal someone else's bin. We only have one wheelie bin for rubbish; recycling goes in bags. Those are free which is useful as when it's windy the emptied bags could end up anywhere.

We are retired so the bin goes out at breakfast time and we bring it back in as soon as it's emptied. No-one gets chance to steal ours
