Had a tank setup for around 3 years now. Got 2 snails along with my fish.
Been on holiday for a week. Since being back I have noticed that one of the snails has a cracked shell, but whilst I was looking at the snail, I noticed a new little addition!
The only thing I have done recently is around a month ago was a clean. I did put a new plant in. Before I put the plant in I washed it thoroughly! Alway been aware of bugs in new plants.
I have also noticed on 2 of the plants small white dots.

The photo has 2 snails, what I assume is a tiger/ zebra nerite? and the other is a common pond snail.

What's the new addition and what are your concerns?
If your concern is the cracked shell, snails can usually repair them easily and without any help from you. Just make sure the pH is 7.0 or above and there is some calcium in the water and it should be fine.

Thanks,
Was worried about the cracked shell. Will test the water.
Just didn’t know where the smal snail had come from. Am I ok to leave it in the tank?

The pond snail would have come in on plants, either as a snail or eggs. They are normally fine but breed prolifically, however, if there's only one you should be ok.
