I was reading The Wolfs article on rocks where he talked about doing the acid test on rocks. I heard you pour vinegar on the rocks to see if bubbles, Is this right? Also, do you boil the rocks again after you test them? How do you get the vinegar off? Sorry if this has been asked before

You only need a few drops of vinegar to see if the rock fizzes
If it doesn't, just rinse the rock in lots of clean water and stick in your tank.

white vinegar is better for the test than brown (malt) vinegar because
white vinegar is more acidic than malt.
 
The white vinegar does work better, and just put a couple drops on, it's pretty simple.
