I have a Fluval Flex in which the back compartment is separated off by sturdy-seeming plastic to house the filter and heater. I know it's not good to rest stones on glass in aquariums, but is it okay to rest stones against this plastic? Please and thanks!

Depends on the size of the rock, but I would think it's probably fine.

Just make sure its not placed in such a way that fish could get trapped when you empty it for a water change.

Thanks for the tip! The stone isn't too awkwardly-shaped and I can't see any way they could get stuck, but will bear in mind :)
