COMMON NAME: Red-eye Puffer, Crested Puffer

SCIENTIFIC NAME: Carinotetraodon Lorteti

CARE: Red-eye Puffers do not require any salt in their water for they are not brackish fish. Do not keep in community tanks, not only because they are aggressive but they will not like the tank.

SIZE: 2.5" but ussualy only grow to about 2" in an aquirium.

FEEDING: Feed them frozen food and live foods such as Bloodworm, White Mosquito Lava, Brine shrimp. Try to avoid feeding live river shrimp as they are to big and they will only kill them but not eat them. Do not feed flakes or granules.

BREEDING: This species is unusal amongst puffers in that the males & females have totaly different makings and look completely different.
