I just bought 2 red crabs and bought a Fluval edge to keep them in, I have plenty substrate, and wood for them to climb, nibble on, with part of it above water level for them.

I was just wondering about heat, whats is the best temperature for the crabs to be kept at? and is it even worth me setting up a heater in the tank considering the lights on this particular tank provide a very generous amount of heat anyway?

Thanks.

Does a Fluval Edge have a lid? (I sure they haven;t but happy to be wrong), red crabs are great escape artists and may not stay in your tank for long if there is no lid

Yes it has a lid, it has a full plastic top and the lid is the bit that covers the hole/lights etc.

I hope you're providing brackish water for them.
