just wondering if anyone has any experience of keeping these,if so are the ok to keep in a community tank and how big do they get?

Scott, there is very little info about this fish, but found a site of a German breeder which says the following:
Gets to about 7 cm, lives in unheated aquaria in temperatures between 4 and 22 C. Are not difficult to keep and do not have special requirements regarding water (pH, dH etc), eat flakes and live food. It is a kind of minnow and I would treat them as such.

Looks like it is a great fish! Good luck with it.
 
My LFS has got these in!
BAsically these are easy to care for fish, like a Coldwater danio.
Important thing, is to keep in a long tank, as these are very active.
Also these are coldwater fish, so only keep these with coldwater fish in a coldwater tank. Tankmates could be Barbed Corydoras or Weather Loaches...
