Ok, I have a black skirted tetra with a fat belly. It wasn't always like that, it just seemed to have happened today. I'm told the female is larger then the male, but the fat belly tetra is smaller then the other(only two in tank). How do I know if she's definintely pregnant, and can anyone tell me how many eggs she will lay? I have a 30 gallon tank, and don't want to introduce 400 babies...
Before anyone says it...I know they are comfortable in groups of 6-8, and I know I have to grab the eggs and protect them from the mother. I just want to know if she is pregnant, and how many. Anyone an expert on tetras?
