Personified fish, I love it!
Yep very personified. I think the reason dad gets huffy when she tried guarding the babies is because it's
usually the dad who looks after the babies instead of the mum. so sometimes when dad gets really huffy she just sits on the bottom out of his way, a while later she'll scout the tank for stray babies, go to the nest where dad is, flare at him and push him out the way so she can release any babies that she found around the tank.

It can be quite amusing. I sit there and I'll suddenly giggle, my mum goes "What's so funny?" So I just wave her off any say "The paradise fish are arguing again"

I like to make voices for the fish in my head when I sit and watch them 
Admittedly so do I. I imagine she's saying stuff like "Just let me see the kids please?" and dads saying stuff like "No, your not going near them. Your a bad mother, You might try to eat them."
