The other day i went out and bought 2 panda cory companions for my lone panda cory who had been on his own for some months since an internal bacterial outbreak i had a while bcak.
I know it sounds stupid, but when the lfs owner was netting out my panda's i didn't realy pay that much attention due to looking at other tanks, and when i got back i noticed one of the new panda's top fin was very pale instead of black.
The panda cory isn't acting sick at all and is happily eating away at some catfish pelets as i type but i was wondering wether this top fin coloration is normal or a sign of illness? I've seen other panda's like this in my lfs like this and they never seem to die although do get sold quickly...
Thanks for your time :)

are you 100% posative you have a panda?
you may have a bandit, false bandit or similar;
as there are several species that look the same
untill comparied with each other.

we bought 2 new pandas a couple of months back and they are lighter than the existing one we had - they are perfectly healths and play as a grout ok :)

as you say the top fin is gray and not black - we thought it was stress from bringng them home hut they havent darkened - hope this helps put your mind at rest

Im 100% positive he's a panda; he doesn't have the distinctive black line down his back like bandits do, am i right in thinking that

this is a bandit cory;
