I have one quick question and I wasn't sure where to put it, so I put it here.

Am I allowed to post a "wanted" thread in the classified section, where I am looking for good prices for some item but don't necessarily want to buy yet? (If there are informational topics on this that I have missed, please direct me to them )

I don't see any reason why not, but I would suggest that you make it clear that you haven't definitely made the decision to buy.
