I have recently set up a shell dweller tank with 9 multies. If I explain what I believe is the correct way to do a wc in this tank will someone tell me if I am right or wrong please, all advise gratefully accepted

1 using a siphon cleaner remove 25% of the water from the tank and discard
2 fill bucket with tap water and dechlorinate
3 add lake tangnyika lake salts as per instructions
4 refill tank slowly

Please inform me if anything is left out as I do not want to make any mistakes with these fish
Question, will the salts added be enough to raise pH to required pH of 8?
Thanks

Hi LilyRose,
Rock breeder here. Sounds like you got a good handle on things, but #2 still leaves the metals in your tank. They may or may not be okay. I recommend u talk to your fish store for the better stuff. Lord, can't think of the name as my tank is not operating for a year now due to heart surgery. Crap, wish I remembered, but your fish store will know.
