Hi can anybody give som advice on setting up a new marine tank. This is my second attempt the first I was plaged by hairy algey. The tank is 400ltrs and has a sump containing skimmer and phosphate reactor.
Thanks

I don't have a marine tank. But I have read of others that have successfully used Algae Scrubbers to eliminate algae issues. An algae scrubber is a box with a light Water is pumped through the box and light shines on a screen where algae is growing. With algae growing in the box excess nutrients are consumed and removed by the algae and coral does much better. You might want to look at these:

I've always liked the idea of a marine tank but never been brave enough! It's taken me 8 years to get my head round tropical and even now I stick to safe/easy stuff.

Hope you can get it to work!!
