Okay not that old of a fish keeper, I'm no seasoned pro but I've been in the hobby a few years with varying degrees of obsession/commitment.
Decided to join a forum because I am taking on a new endeavor (a rather large scale livebearer project) after almost a year of nothing but a 56 G goldfish aquarium. Also, I'm a SAHM/online student, so I'll be honest when I say it gets kind of lonely around here. Especially during nap time.
Well since we're all here for the fish anyway, I currently have a 40 G breeder with a Fluval 306 cannister filter. I've got some balloon mollies, swordtails and a few female platies, as well as all the mystery babies in the breeder net and hiding in floating plants. Nothing fancy, just some nice looking ones I spotted at the local LFS's.
I've got plans to expand (both in gallons and fish) and wanted someplace like this forum to document my project.
Oh and the username Tench--it's both my last name and an actual fish species. I'm a sucker for puns.
