I have a 3.5 gal tank with live plants on my desk at work, established for about a year. I had one platy, then my coworker gave me a neon & a cardinal tetra about 2 months ago. They all have gotten along well. None of them pick on each other. Just this week, the neon tetra has developed big white bumps on the side of his head & the base of the top fin. He hasnā€™t lost any color, eats & swims around like normal. I just donā€™t know what these lumps are. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

more pics please.

looks like white growths under the skin. weird and interesting :)
It could be some sort of parasitic worm in the muscle tissue or tumors. However, tumors normally come on slowly and you don't get 3 or 4 pop up in week. I am thinking muscle parasites but not 100%.
If it is parasites in the muscle tissue there isn't any known cures but sometimes salt can help or a fish deworming medication might.
Which country do you live in? Different medications are available in different countries and hopefully someone can suggest a worming medication for your location.
