Hello,

New to aquariums, so bear with me. I need some advice on filtration systems for my new 60 US gallon fresh water tank. I currently have a Marineland Magnum 350 that came used with the tank. I am not sure I want to use this filter as I have been reading that they require alot of maintenance, cleaning every few days. Also I have read that used canister tanks can be a pain if the seals were not properly taken care of. I definately don't want to deal with leaks. I also have an older fluval 204, that I purchased used with the tank. Again, I don't want to deal with an old leaky canister filter.

So what filters would u suggest for a new person, that doesn't require cleaning every few days. And is inexpensive. It doesn't have to be a canister filter. Also, I am not opposed to more filtration than required. I would much rather have more filtration power than the recommended.

Thanks for any advice you might beable to provide.

PS, I am located in the US.
