Hello all. I'm very new to the site and the reason for me joining was to possibly get some advice on what this fish could be? I have a tropical community tank with mollies guppies platies and mosquito fish. This baby looks like a mosquito fish but I doubt it. It was born with all of my other molly babies and they're either black with white spots or flip flop (Dalmatian). I have three oddballs that look like this. Could they be from a guppy father?

i cant identify species but allot of fish look very different when small even livebearers dont have parental colors for ages

Sometimes mollies and guppies interbreed, called muppys or gollys. :)

I'd hazard a guess at it being a female platy I think
It's got lovely colouring whatever it is.

Genes can be funny things. While most fry may look the same, given the lineage going back over a few generations of each parent you may find genes you don't expect and the result can be a few color morphs that seem to have no relation to the parents or siblings.

I had a problem with albino long fin bristlenose. They would only throw regular colored regular finned offspring. But when they spawnrd I got about 25-30% alibinos- but the lf gene seemed to have been suppressed.
