My snake dealer slash new found friend gave me this adult female asiatic rhinoceros beetle. I know it'll only live a few more months but until then, i might as well enjoy her company.

She borrows a lot and flies a lot at dawn too which is kinda noisy lol

She is pretty-but i must say I wouldn't like her crawling around my hand. :)

Sweet, in this country we have stag beetles which are similar in appearance. I'm quite happy to have them walk over my hand but also they fly like zepplins, all over the place!

How long do they live for? That's a bit sad that you'll only get to enjoy her company for a few months :( Agreed though enjoy while you can! Very cute.

I had a pair of Madagascar hissing cockroaches a long time ago!
She reminds me of the bug life. Lol.

From what i read regarding european, japanese and the asiatic species they could only live for 4 to 8 months as adults or until they have laid eggs or until fall approaches (which is unapplicable here lol).

I tried removing my beautiful wooden structures as she has started to bore into some and even turned my nice barks into chips LOL

Ahh okay. I hope you enjoy your time with her!
Bahaha, oops! Can't stay mad though I imagine :)

Thanks! I know, some of those wood and barks are my memorabilias of my travels abroad haha!
