I feel so bad I was doing a water change and the pump slipped and I thought nothing of it until after it was all done and my black molly was swimming fast and on her side. I got her into a breeders box so she stops running into the others and the ornaments. She just got better after a case of popeye. I am moving in a week and was doing daily water changes but it slipped and I feel like the worst person ever rn.

Is there any way to know if she will die or live or a way to save her?

What sort of filter do you have and what actually happened?

If the fish was squashed by an internal power filter, it could have major damage to its organs and will probably die. However, if it was just knocked, then it might be fine.

Monitor the fish and keep it separated like you have. Don't do a water change tomorrow, just let her be and see if she survives the night.

It was a gravel pump that slipped. Earlier she was just rolling frantically. The only thing I can do is say goodnight, maybe for the last time. She has exhausted herself out now and is just laying there moving her fins. She was eating food I gave her a flake to test if she would still eat and she did.

I woke up this morning and she was out of the box, she somehow got out of it but she looks normal now. I wonder what happened. She was doing barrel rolls and slamming herself against the side now she seems like her old self except with a small lean to one side. But I am going to keep her in the box a while longer just in case and since she ate some last night I am only going to feed the others.

If she is eating then feed her a little bit several times a day. Keep her in the little container for a week and see how she goes.
