Mickey Mouse Platy Help

over the past few days my female MM platy seems to be losing her mickey mouse marking!
its gone from solid black to very very pale, its as if her bright yellow colouring is coming out more and the black is receeding. she is about 6 months old.

if she was losing ALL of her colour id be thinking she was ill, but as her yellow intensifies her black is disappearing. is this simply because she is still growing or something else?

One of my black and yellow platys is "changing" colour, she is becoming more of an orange than yellow.

I would say if she doesnt look ill its not really anything to worry about.

Its a common thing for goldies to change colour, we had a very black and gold fantail who lost all his black, and i have heard of a choc oranda going gold.

Sorry cant be much help, hopefully someone be able to give you a deff answer soon.

first time to hear such phenomena...

I'll be more watchful about my tank and the fishes inside it...

maybe anastasia and 5steady knows about it...
