Mature Tank Media

Hi all,
 
new to this forum and pretty new to fishkeeping in general so here is a cheaky shout out to anyone in the South West London area who can give me some mature media of sorts to place in my tank as I messed up my cycle and needed to start from scratch AGAIN!!
 
running out of patience with staring at an empty tank every day so please please could anyone help me out??
 
will collect from anywhere near or in SW London (Surrey) area

You might have some luck in asking LFS, like Maidenhead Aquatics for some mature media, have heard some members getting a bag of bio balls for about £1, if you are at right lfs at right time you may get some, no harm in asking them.
 
If that fails, try a bottle of Dr Tims One and Only Nitrifying Bacteria to Tetra Safe Start, they may help you.

How exactly did you mess up the cycle, why do you need to start from scratch?

I went in to Maidenhead Aquatics and asked for some established media and they gave me a bag full for nothing. Not sure how much it has sped up my cycle but I am not far off being able to add fish.

Can you possibly give some test readings and which test kit you are using, just to give us an idea.

And do you have an ammonia source as well so you can progress with the fishless cycle?
