I have a male apisto who has a big belly and is hiding all the time? What should I do for him. All my other fish in the tank including some apisto fry are all healthy at the moment.
Now that I think about it I did get behind on a water change because of a recent trip. I don’t think it is what is causing it as the fry and the female apisto is still healthy but I will change water as soon as I get home to see if I see any change in behavior.
Any suggestions? If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I just caught him to put him into a hang on side container and he is not doing good pretty much just floating with labored breathing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Update: He passed away during the night. I still don’t know what was wrong with him as his belly bloating was not that severe just always looked like he was full. Now I am trying to figure out if I should get another male or just stick with the female.
