Looking for tank mates for guppies

I have recently taken up tropicle hobby I have a 180 litre tank with 8 guppies and would like to know compatible tank mates for them I like the dwarf gouramis but wonder off they are suitable to put with them.

What are your water parameters? Is your water soft or hard, Guppies need hard water and Gouramis prefer soft water.

Contrary to popular opinion on some websites Bettas are not great tank mates for anything, Bettas are best on their own,

Without knowing your water parameters Ph GH KH first I would not recommend anything. If you have hard water and put in soft water fish they will suffer and die, If you have soft water your Guppies wont be happy and healthy.

Have been cycling tank for 4 weeks but nitrate is still slightly high doing regular water changes guppies seem happy but cannot add other fish until safe perimeter. Any advice
