KN03 spot treatment is a cure for BBA not BGA. You mean the black tufty stuff that grows on wood and such like? This is BBA.

The KN03 method seems to work for some and not others but it won't hurt your fish as long as you aren't adding it many many times. Don't add it additionally to the dosing of your EI. Dose your EI quantity as a spot treatment. The rest will disappear around the tank in due course.

You may get lucky. My pitbull plecs devoured the dead stuff when I used Excel on it and I haven't used it since as they seem to have developed a taste for it now and I don't need to kill it anymore. lol
