Hi all,

I am setting up a new 120 litre Juwel Lido tank the dimensions of which are: 61 x 41 x 58 cm.

I will run two filters, the internal provided Juwel Bioflow 3.0 filter, plus an external Fluval 206 filter. I will not be having plants, but will have an additional air stone, with pettex roma pea gravel.

Once all is ready and matured what is the maximum stocking (and recommendations) that anyone could provide?

Thanks!

That depends whether you will be using hard or soft water in your tank. As a general note, you are pretty limited in your potential stock because of the length of the aquarium to small fish.

Look at the Asian species at http://natureaquarium.co.uk/?page_id=278#asia

I keep thinking that you will plant the tank, and every time that I remember that you're not going for plants, I have trouble deciding on which species to recommend as most need plants to feel "safe" and not be skittish.

For your tank unplanted, I'd expect to have about 30 of those fish after a year (so once it's mature), less if you want to go for larger species not from the list.
