I would love to read what a perfect set up would be for my new pair of young jewel cichlids. I would like to make an attractive home for them from both the fish's perspective as well as well as being attractive in my living room . I currently have them in a 20 gallon high but assume this will have to be changed, (Thinking 30 gallon long ), fish's health comes first but would still like the setup to be attractive. Thanks in advance for any ideas

the minimum for a pair is 30 gallons, but your tank will be able to hold them for quite a while if needed. I think that they would look really cool in a planted tank, but with no tank mates because they are not only aggressive but the tank is too small for any other fish to be with the jewels.
