Injured Mystery Snail

Hey guys so I'm terrified I've accidently seriously hurt my Mystery Snail Gary I feel so bad! so I was cleaning his shell and I accidently dropped him and then when I picked him up and accidently squashed part of him with his own shell as he partly came out of his shell when I dropped him and I thought I killed him felt so bad put him back in my tank so watch him and he partly came out then curled back inside and stayed there over night then I noticed him in different spots curled in trap door closed then I found him out of his shell finally but not fully out but left him and I've just been watching him but I've now noticed he's got a lump behind his eye and he's still not coming out fully and he's doing strange things such as balancing on his trap door, 1st photo I have posted is before I dropped the poor thing but the ones after are what he's been like please I hope I haven't hurt him badly I feel terrible

I'm really sorry about your snail. I don't know if he's badly injured or not, tbh, but snails are very hard to treat for injuries.

I think all you can do is make sure your tank is nice and clean and hope he can heal.

Sorry I can't suggest anything more positive.

thank you yeah I'm just gonna watch him day by day and hope he gets better I feel so terrible about hurting the poor guy just hope he's not in to much pain but I'm doing salt treatment in my tank currently due to white spot so hopefully that will help him.... I hope!

May I ask why? Snail shells do not need cleaning.

I had a golden mystery snail that had algae growing on his shell. Not a lot but a little bit of green fuzz. Every so often I'd wipe his shell with my fingers. Now I have a blue mystery snail and algae isn't a problem. Not sure why, my tank hasn't changed.

I was cleaning him because his whole shell went from a cream colour to dark green and I hoped my fish would clean it off but never did and it got thick so cleaned it off it only happened tho after I changed his tanks.

He's started to leave an Orange colour slime everywhere where.....hes alive but weak and very almost frightened of everything like as soon as a fish comes near him he hides now which he never used to do
