Ideas for 36 Gallon

I have a 36 gallon bowfront tank (30";W X 15";D X 21";H) that I am thinking about converting from a community to an African Cichlid tank.

I have many years of experience with South American Cichlids. Also very knowledgeable with water chemistry and stay on top of maintenance.

I've just never really got into Africans before. What would be some possible stocking options for this tank?

small shell dweller cichlids like Neolamprologus brevis or multifasciatus.

a group of 8-10 Cyprichromis leptosoma or Paracyprichromis nigripinnis

Julidochromis dickfeldi, marlieri, ornatus, regani or transcriptus
