My tinfoil barbs have ich and my gouramis are eating the ich of the barbs, do I have to be concerned

I don't think the gourami is "eating the ich" off the barbs, it's more likely that the barbs are being attacked if the gourami is actually biting them.
Ich is always a concern but it can be easily cured if done the right way. If you have an adjustable heater you should raise the temp to about 86 F and do extra water changes/gravel vacs for the next couple of weeks. Add an air stone as well because having the water at 86 depletes it of oxygen. Over 1-2 weeks the heat will kill off all the ich parasites.

I don't have an air stone but I have a sponge filter, it gives air bubbles, is that fine?
