breeding shrimps are they like guppies where you put them in a tank & they do the raise

oh & what do they eat
 
Breeding shrimps is difficult as they go though a planktonic stage after hatching which means in normal aquariums they are sucked up by the filter long before they have a chance to grow. It can be done by removing egg laiden female shrimps from the tank and leaving them in a birthing tank with a fine grade sponge filter until she drops the eggs but even then feeding the baby shrimps is difficult as their food needs to smaller than plankton so you need to have several insofuria colonies on the go at the same time to supply a constant stream of food.

at the fish store they were eating snails
