How do I send a private message?

I have been trying to work out how I send a private message to someone but can't figure it out. I have done searches and tried right clicking names and there does not appear to be a private message link.

What am I doing wrong?

Click the members ID a box will pop up then select start conversation,

ok gotcha, it's the start conversation tab I use.
