i ave 3 hornwort plants in my 15gl tank, will they need addional plant food or will the waste form the fish be enough, as yet there are no fish coming hopefully on thrus day when cycled. if i go for a slightly understocked tank, will theye be enough for teh plants??

They shouldn't need anything extra-hornwort grows easily and FAST! It's mainly a floating plant but you can use weights to keep it down in the substrate.

I have hornwart, and as gale says it does grow extremely fast. at least doubles in size every week or so. I have about 2wpg. I don't use any fertilisers, and i have it planted into the sand substrate

The best thing is it's bushy all over, so it provides a lot of bulk, rather than bulk towards the top and stock at the bottom!
