Hibiscus in riparium?

Again for my new discus tank, as I said in my other post, I want plenty of green above water, and I'm planning a riparium "section" so to speak. The tank will be a room divider, so the short side will be against the wall and that's where the riparium section will be.

I've pretty much decided there will be peace lilies, some pothos (or possibly a monstera deliciosa) and one or two Amazon swords.
I'm considering also a hibiscus. Has anyone tried one?
 
The regular hibiscus will not work, but there are semi aquatic species.
