Help Aquamanta Efx200

i have always had problems getting my external filter going again when water changed the tank. I have a jewel trigon 190 with the filter working and Aquamanta efx200 in addition. The push button on top doesn't release itself I have to pull it back up when the pressure relieves itself to allow me. It is a total nightmare!! Can someone offer me some advice please if they have experience with this filter. It's so hard to get pressure going through the system to get the pump flowing because of the release delay on the button.

I would suggest contacting Maidenhead Aquatics as they should know all about that filter.
 
I have one myself but I've not experienced the issue you mention.

Sadly it gives no further information in regards to maintenance of the primer function.
