I got 5 guppies recently and it turns outbid mis-sold 2 of them as males when in fact they are females. I only noticed this when I did a bit of research into sexing them after witnessing the mating dance!
So the chance is I'm going to end up with baby guppies and my first question is how many fry on average would others say they have had survive from a spawn?
I currently have a 200l tank but don't want it overrun so was thinking I may need to setup a secondary tank and separate the sexes as I have heard all about how fast these guys can breed!
Alternatively I can arrange to sell them locally or rehome them at my lfs if they will take them.
Any insight into other people's experience with this is much appreciated!
