I am having trouble finding a female Chocolate Gouramis for my males. Thus thinking of getting some otherĀ Gouramis that are mouth brooders as they are.Ā I have read thatĀ LicoriceĀ Gouramis are mouth brooders.
Ā
Are there any other Gouramis that are mouth brooders?

There are a few species of Betta that are mouthbrooders. Ā These are rarely seen in the hobby. Ā Here is some info:

Ā
These all live in flowing streams where a bubblenest would be impractical. Ā Interestingly, the Chocolate Gourami is the very opposite, occurring in extremely sluggish water such as peat swamps and blackwater streams.
Ā
The Licorice Gourami is not a mouthbrooder; it builds a bubblenest.
Ā
Byron.
