Gourami White Spot Above Mouth White Spot On Middle Back

The white spot on his back was red yesterday, now its white and it grew. Is he gonna die? Can I eat him? what does gourami taste like? For 3 days I've been treating with pimafix and it looks like it didn't help any. Also, I salted the tank for a day then did a massive water change. Someone cut the white spot off his gourami on another board. Any help or ideas?

No don't touch the spot, you will need a bacterial med what your location.
And with it resting on the bottom of the tank it not looking to good.

I'm using Pimafix i'm at southern ontario canada. He's at the top it looks weird cuz i'm directly above him when I took that shot. Whenever I open the hood to take a look at him he shoots water at me!

No but thinking of checking the local fish stores tommorow for it. I also might get a 10 gallon hospital tank for it $70 cad. The kit for a 55 gallon kit is $200 . Might get another 55 but must buy more meds... Does maracyn effect snails, shrimp, or any side effects I should know about.
