I have a 10g tank with one male platy and three neon tetras.I'd like to
not get additional platies because of a previous problem with aggression
between male platies. And I don't want baby platies, so no females.
What tank mates should I get? More tetras? Do I need to have one or more
bottom feeders or algae eaters or can I have only showy fish and just work extra hard to clean the tank? Also, the pet store recommends changing 10 percent weekly and 25 percent monthly. Is it OK to change it more often (vacuuming each time) and removing 20 percent twice a week or will I do more harm than good?
Thanks!

Platies will breed alot if you get a female, and for neon tetras, have at least 6 or 7. And do a 15-25% water change weekly... i do mine every sunday soo yeah. Goodluck.

I'm afraid that a 10g is too small for neon tetras and is the bare minimum for platies.
