Hello all (I apologize for not knowing where to post this).

Earlier today I found something on my aquarium's glass. Went out for a few hours and it was gone. Looked it up on Google and it turns out it is a hydra - the plant looking organism that sticks to the glass of the tank and can be predatory to small fish and shrimp.

I didn't think of removing it earlier, and now it relocated to a different place in the tank. Worries because I've got two red cherries living in my 5.5 gallon with my better fish.

How does one remove hydras from the tank? Can't find that one anymore so i cannot [physically remove it...

Any advice would be very helpful!!

Hello!

I wouldn't worry about one single hydra. Hydras are no problem for adult red cherries. What do you feed? Hydras usually arrive with live food from natural sources. And if there is no food for them any more they will go away.
