Fluval 3 Filter Operating A Less Than Half Capacity - Making Buzzing S

Hi,

I have a problem with my Fluval 3 Plus filter which, since this morning, appears to be operating at less than half capacity. I have noticed that it is making a sort of buzzing/humming sound when it is on and the yellow plastic button that is normally fully up is half down

I have taken the filter out and given it a clean, without cleaning the filter media as advised, and everything seems fine. There is (what I believe to be) the yellow propeller and it appear to spin around fine.

As you can see from the picture I took the water that is coming out isn't coming out at as quickly as before. This is it on "full" flow. Will this problem cause oxygenation issues with the water?

I am quite concerned with this issue - what should I do? Am I looking at a dead filter?

Problem solved here i'm glad to say. It turned out the sponge media needed cleaned and was prevent the normal flow of water.

I rinsed the media out in the tank and put it back in and the pump/filter is working as normal
