I have recently purchased a Flowerhorn on line. It is about 2 inches long. I don't know what age he is, but I'm guessing about 2 months. I would like to know if I can put him in a tank with a 9 inch Pleco, which is about 8 months old.

You should be fine, the pleco is a solid size and will cope with any aggression from a young flowerhorn.

Thank you for your encouraging reply. It's just that I've read that Flowerhorns seem to attack anything that comes near it. Will I have to remove the Pleco when the Flowerhorn gets bigger?

Possibly. Flowerhorns definitely are a quite agressive fish. Generally there shouldn't be an issue until they get to a more decent size - chances are however that by that time your flowerhorn will be very used to the pleco and hopefully they will coexist in the tank. You will always have to keep an eye on them though, as you don't want to come home to a shredded pleco!
