Fixing Hob Filter Waterfall.

I have a HOB filter and the outlet drops the water pretty heavily onto my plants, which doesn't allow them to grow straight up because they constantly have the force of water pushing them down. This is only in a small section of my tank, but I was wondering how I could fix it. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

You could try a bit of sponge.

Gonna try the sponge. thanks. I put some filter sponge floss thing there b ut I don't think that worked
