Hi, my female guppy (who is due to give birth soon) has what looks like a hair ( almost as long as its body) coming out of its bottom, its deffently a hair and not poo, it is pooing fine but it doesnt shift the hair. Has it digested a hair? will it be ok?

Deffently look like a hair rather than a parisite. Very odd, she does look like she will give birth soon so maybe pushing babbies out will shift it?

Actually this happened to two of my guppies last week. One did eat a small hair (maybe 3 inches in length) and it passed fine... but... stupidly, I didn't find it in time and ANOTHER one attempted to eat it and I had to pull it out of its mouth.

So... they DO attempt to eat hair if one should happen to fall in... in my case I'm thinking maybe during a water change.

Weirdo guppies :p hope it doesn't cause any discomfort to them.
