Is it ok to turn the filter off while I feed my fish?

As long as you turn the filter back on after feedings, I don't see why not.

Yes its ok, but the question is why do you need to? If the flow from the filter is that strong that you need to turn it off maybe you should be looking at slowing it down or something.

Good morning all. They told me in the aquarium shop that the strong flow is good that it creates more oxygen in the tank. If I feed in opposite side of the tank the food still gets into the flow and broke up into pieces I can't see. I am sure this is fine as the fish can see the food still but I don't get to see them feed when it breaks up to little bits really as the fish are not coming to top to get the food which I like to watch

What fish have you got?
How big is the tank?

80 litre tank and I have four haliquins and five cardinals. Nitrate nitrite and ammonia are all prefect
