I recently purchased two dwarf gourami from a local petsm@rt and one of the fish clearly had the virus..I wish I checked out the fish in store. Well once home after 2 months the fish got worse sores and died....my other gourami was perfectly fine and has been since...can my other gourami still contract the disease?

personaly i think if it was going to effect your gourami it may have done by know just think bactiria/ virus reproduce quick two months and your fish should be affected but as its not i wouldnt worry just keep up the tank maintenance and youll be fine also quarenteen ur fish before adding them to your main tank :)

you other Gourami will be fine, good advice to always quarantine new fish b4 adding to ur tank
