Hi,
Do guppies & platties eat lettuce. I have danios & cherry barbs too.
I put some in broken up in small pieces they seem disinterested. Not like when I put in peas !!
I have 2 snails which would most likely like the lettuce.
Does it hurt to put it in if the fish don't eat it.
What is the biggest advantage for having live plants in the tank?
Thanks
Desley

It kind of depends on the type of guppy or platty you have, some might only like peas while others like boths. If the fish dosen't eat the lettuce in about 10mins or more you better take it out, you could leave it a bit longer for the snails to get to it.
The advantage for having live plants in your tank are more realistic plants then the plastic, the fish love it, it looks good and is good for your tank.
Hope I helped.

Hi,
Yes it helps thanks.
I kinda broke the lettuce up into very small pieces and it has mixed in & around with my plants.
Will it hurt to leave it in there as it may take me a while to pluck it all out again? Its' not much about 1/4 of a leaf .. if that.
Thanks again
Desley
