I made a 3d background for my 2.5 gallon tank. Currently it is about 2 inches thick and is already siliconed up-ready for carving.

I don't really have ideas about how I should carve it. I want a cool pattern - I was thinking of either a smooth cavern type look or a really rough look like Seiryu stones.
This is my first 3d background.

Make a sketch of something  you think would look cool! :)

Something like this?
