I have one red-tail shark and one rainbow shark now, I used to have 3 of each before I knew you weren't supposed to keep multiples of them. They used to be swimming on all levels of my tank posturing to each other, but now since there is only on of each I only see them during feeding time. They each have a rock to hide in on opposite sides of the tank. But the hiding, is it normal?

This would be normal with having two in the tank, they are avoiding confrontation to stay alive.

Star is right, They will kill each other if they meet. Also a red tailed and a rainbow shark should be treated the same.

One for every tank.
