Hey,

So I recently bought some cryptocoryne wendtii and was just wondering if it would attach to either rocks or artificial wood if I were to tie it on with some wire or would it die or grow roots to the substrate? Thanks

Wendtii should e planted in the substrate.
It doesn't attach to rocks/wood like javafern. Great plant btw

How do I go about planting it? Should I plant the roots straight into the substrate? And also would it grow with a gravel substrate?

Thanks

Just stick it in the substrate and it should grow ok if you have decent lighting. While crypts aren't too picky they, most plants prefer a finer substrate than the usual aquarium gravel.

Sand is a good and pretty cheap (pool filter sand) all around planted tank substrate. Just add a root tab by the plants and they should do good.

Well if everybody is showing off their Crypts I may as well do it also.

I was wondering if you guys have any ideas on floating plants too? I want something similar to duck weed but not as small and not as much
