Hello all... I've been keeping fish since I was 4 years old... now I'm over the hill at 71. I went to salt water in 1971 'til 2008. I've had every sort of tank and gizmo there is in those days but now I'm down to simple. Okay... the question is that since I'm keeping a small biocube... a Coralife 16 with the improved lighting system, my question is... is the hood fan supposed to be running 24/7 ? The lights are on the built in timer but the fan runs all of the time... even after all the lights are off. Is it supposed to do that ?
I bought the tank online being I live way off the beaten path and everything desirable in fish and equipment has to come mail order for that reason... no one to turn to for help.
Anyway, if I should put the lighting system on an external timer I am guessing that I'll loose the lighting schedule.
